FAQs

  • I am currently accepting new clients. I offer remote sessions via Zoom to clients in Washington State. To get the most out of our sessions clients should make sure they are in a private space where they feel comfortable speaking to me on the computer. Sessions are 50 minutes and usually include some talk therapy, creating and reviewing goals, going over skills you may be using to cope with issues, mindfulness, sometimes trauma work, and exploring other ways you can be supported. Payments are made through a secure online portal, Ivy Pay, at the end of sessions. Receipts for service can be provided after each session through the IvyPay app. I accept phone calls in between sessions and only charge my hourly rate if the calls last more than 15 minutes.

  • Some people come to therapy short-term and others come long-term. Typically I work with people weekly for at least 6 months, then sometimes we meet every other week and over time sometimes we meet monthly or when needed.

  • I am happy to provide a free initial phone consultation to determine if this will be a good fit for your needs. My fee for a 50 minute therapy session is $165. If cost is an issue I maintain a few sliding scale spots, please inquire about these. All fees are paid through a secure online service.

  • I am considered an out-of-network provider for insurance companies and I can provide you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company. I do not ever directly bill insurance companies and reimbursement is dependent on your company and your plan.

  • I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, which means that I charge for a session cancelled within less than 24-hours of our scheduled meeting or if you no-show.

I follow HIPAA guidelines and adhere to a strict confidentially policy with only legal exceptions if you intend to hurt yourself or another person. I am happy to provide more information about this in my privacy policy. When a release of information is signed you are authorizing me to speak with other providers or others collaborating on your care.
